Sir Fauzi introduced us to the artistic concept of collage-making, where various materials and images are combined to create a cohesive visual piece. To illustrate this, he showcased a collection of impressive examples crafted by his former students, highlighting the range of creativity and techniques that can be applied. He walked us through a brief yet insightful overview of the collage-making process, explaining not only how to layer and arrange different elements but also how to think creatively to convey a theme or story through the artwork. He emphasized that next week’s session would be hands-on, where we would have the opportunity to create our own physical collages. To prepare for this practical activity, he advised us to bring along materials such as old magazines, newspapers, printed images, colored paper, or any other items we could cut and repurpose to add texture and depth to our creations.
