In this task we were asked to make a comic cover and one page with a minimum three GIF panel which contain a pieces of the story story "The Monkey's Paw" by W.W. Jacobs.

Concept Board:

This is my first sketch for the three panel, the number one is from mr and mrs smith with their son together. Number two is when the sergeant came to their house and number three is when the sergeant show them the monkey paw. 

Then I change my design a little bit and added one more panel. After that I started on making the panel one by one.

as for the design of the monkey's paw, I was inspired by the monkey toy from Toy Story 3. 

And this is what I come up with the idea.

Reflection:

Creating this comic based on The Monkey's Paw was a fascinating experience that pushed me to think deeply about how to condense a complex, atmospheric story into just a few panels. I started by identifying the key moments that capture the essence of the narrative: the family’s everyday life, the sergeant’s mysterious visit, and the revelation of the cursed paw. It was a challenge to simplify these scenes while still maintaining the eerie and suspenseful tone of the original story.
