Task 3 brief:
After the visual analysis, you will now create a work of design, based by the idea you have proposed in Task 2. You are expected to apply your knowledge of design principles in your idea development and final design. You may use any medium and/or materials, except for full photography, that are suitable to convey your final visual message.

Progress on the design:

Fig 1.2 Artwork Progress Part 1

From Fig 1.1, I add some addition part to Fig 1.2, such as the wings on the little girl and chain that bound the woman.

Rationale:
i) the decisions made in your design.
In Fig 1.6, I wanted to show the meaning of tradition, generational knowledge, sacrifice, and freedom. For the central focus, there's a tall woman with long, flowing hair handing a shinning apple to the and young winged girl. I used dark colors for the background and tree to create contrast in the composition. The dark blue night sky enhances the sense of mystery and serenity, making the glowing star and figures stand out more. This contrast helps draw attention to the interaction between the figures.

ii.) the meaning/purpose of the design.
The elements of a tree, apples, and the interaction between two figures shows the meaning of tradition and generational knowledge. The large tree represent growth while the apple represent knowledge and wisdom. The woman is sharing the apple which is the knowledge to the younger girl, emphasizing the continuity of learning and tradition. The wings on the younger girl represent the possibility of freedom and growth, while the chain on the woman symbolize the weight of responsibility or past tradition that she carries.

iii) the design principles that are employed to create the design.
In Fig 1.6, the two figures, tree, and star create a sense of balance because the position is in the center. For the color, I want to make it brighter on the two figures and the apple that the woman holding. Darker color for the tree and background which can make a contrast illustration.

Feedback:
Week 6: Change "Chosen Artwork" to "Chosen Idea", try doing landscape and add stars on the right side of the canvas, delete the apple that is hanging from the tree.
Week 7: Proceed with the alternative design as the final artwork, make the tree bigger, dress longer for the woman figures, change movement to balance.
